Workshops & Seminars

Sherlock Consultancy provides a range of tailor-made, bespoke workshops based on your business's individual needs and goals.

Our mission is to make ALL businesses and organisations more disabled-friendly, big or small, it doesn’t matter if our journey together lasts a day or a year, we will support you and your business in becoming more understanding of disability and mental illness!

Our workshops cover all the essential topics such as:

  • What is a disability?
  • Types of disabilities
  • How to interact with and support a disabled person
  • How to make your premises and/or website more accessible
  • And so much more!
Seminars

How it works

Your first step is to get in touch with us and book your first FREE consultation. During that initial meeting, you tell us all about your business or organisation and we look at all the areas we can help you with. Then, if you’re happy to proceed, we start work on creating your personalised workshop and then deliver it to you and your staff.

Aftercare

Because we are so passionate about the work we do, we feel aftercare is so important. We will ask you to fill out questionnaires before and after the workshop(s) so that we can evaluate and assess if it has worked or if we need a different approach. Three months after the last workshop we will come back and see how you are getting on. Then, if there are any areas that still need our attention, we will come up with a plan of action to make things better.

Also, once we have worked with you, we are only a phone call away if you need any support.

Assemblies & Teacher Training

At Sherlock Consultancy we all personally know how difficult teaching can be, with up to 30 hands going up at once - all needing help - and you only have one pair of hands!

Sherlock Consultancy can offer both teacher training and assemblies. We can provide teaching and educational staff with training on how to spot SENDs, how to help and support a child with SEND and how to manage challenging behaviour and much more.

We also believe that all members of staff should be trained in disability awareness, not just teachers and teaching assistants. Lunchtime supervisors can have a deeper insight because they see the child outside of the classroom, they observe them turning their nose up at mashed potatoes or sitting alone and not engaging with the other children.

School teacher

And with restrictions easing and children returning to school, there has never been a more important time to enhance your knowledge, acceptance and understanding of disabled students!

If you are interested please fill out the contact form below.
